MOTET's original jazz funk tunes combine rich horn arrangements with high energy rhythms. Intricate melodies and infectious grooves are clearly rooted in the traditions of funk, while incorporating both latin and soul influences.
Composer, arranger and drummer, Seb Guard, teams up with fellow rhythm section Robin Clayton (bass), David Kirby (keys) and Andy Jackson (guitar). They are joined by MOTET's accomplished horn section of Sam Parker (saxes), Tom Parsons (trumpet) and Stuart Goodburne (trombone).
Original compositions by Seb Guard and Dave Kirby, plus creative arrangements of tunes by iconic artists such as Yellowjackets, Steps Ahead, Bob Berg and Stevie Wonder, reimagined with Motet's signature sound and high-energy horn arrangements.
